Navigating special education can be overwhelming—for students, families, and even the professionals working to support them. I provide individualized educational advocacy, mentorship, and support designed to help students and families feel informed, empowered, and heard.
I have been a Resource Specialist for nine year. For the past six years, I have worked closely with students with emotional disabilities and their families in a therapeutic high school classroom. My work has centered on building trusting relationships, understanding the individual needs behind a student's challenges, and creating supportive teams around them. I have had the privilege of working with students who experienced years of school refusal and helping them rebuild their confidence, reconnect with learning, and develop the academic and social skills needed to attend school more regularly.
I believe that the strongest support comes from strong relationships and strong IEP teams—teams where students, families, educators, and other professionals feel respected, heard, and understood. My goal is to provide the knowledge, perspective, and support they need to make informed decisions and advocate for their students.

IEP Consulting
$100/hour
Individualized support to help families better understand and navigate their student's IEP.
Services may include:
Reviewing IEP documents with families
Helping families understand their student's supports, services, accommodations, and goals
Discussing whether current IEP services and goals are appropriately addressing the student's needs
Helping families identify questions and concerns to bring to the IEP team
Providing guidance on how families can participate confidently and effectively in the IEP process
Assessment Report Review
$100/hour
Understanding school assessments and evaluation reports can be difficult. I can help families make sense of the information and prepare questions for their student's educational team.
Services may include:
Reviewing Consent to Assess forms and discussing what assessments are being proposed
Reviewing completed assessment reports and explaining results in accessible language
Helping families understand how assessment results relate to their student's educational needs
Identifying questions or concerns families may want to bring to the IEP team
IEP Meeting Support & Advocacy
$250/hour
Feel more confident and supported going into your student's IEP meeting.
This service includes:
A pre-meeting consultation with the family to review concerns, questions, and priorities
Guidance on how to participate as a confident and informed member of the IEP team
Attending the IEP meeting with the family as an educational advocate
Providing support throughout the meeting and helping families understand and respond to the information being discussed
My role is to help families feel informed, prepared, and empowered to advocate for their student.
School Engagement Support
10-session package: $1,200
For students who are struggling with school attendance, school refusal, or engagement with school, I provide individualized mentorship and support focused on identifying barriers, rebuilding confidence, and creating realistic steps toward re-engagement.
This service is designed to meet students and families where they are. Rather than focusing solely on attendance, we work together to understand why school has become difficult and develop a plan that addresses the student's individual needs and strengths.
Getting Started
Initial Parent & Student Meetings — 2 hours total
1-hour meeting with parents/guardians to discuss concerns, history, and current challenges
1-hour individual meeting with the student to build rapport and better understand their experience
Individualized Planning Session — 2 hours
Meeting with the student and family to develop individualized goals for school engagement
Identifying barriers to attendance and engagement
Identifying existing school and community supports that may be helpful
Creating a realistic plan for moving toward the student's attendance and engagement goals
Ongoing Support
The remaining sessions are used for individualized support and progress monitoring. Depending on the student's needs, sessions may include:
Executive functioning support
Mentorship and accountability around progress toward goals
Helping students develop strategies for managing challenges related to school
Supporting communication between students, families, and school staff
When appropriate, consulting with the student's teachers or other members of their educational team
Reviewing progress and adjusting goals and strategies as needed
